The Fashion Rose-how to style your coat as a dress

Hey my loves,

It’s been a while! I feel both a little sad and kind of guilty that I totally neglected this little space for the past few months. So many beautiful summer dresses moved into my closet, and I didn’t even share one piece with you here!

I got so many lovely messages by some of you who were asking if everything is fine. Yes, it is! I mean, nothing dramatic happened. I guess I was just busy with this thing called ‚life‘. As well as figuring some things out. For myself, my life, my future. You can also call it self-finding trip…no. 1001, haha?

Now I have some big changes ahead. Maybe I am gonna talk about it soon. But, I am happy and beyond excited for everything to come!! One thing I can tell you is that I will be moving to Düsseldorf in the end of the month. So if you know any photographers around the area, or even are one let me know! Just shoot me an e-mail to thefashionrose@hotmail.com.

Now back to the basics.

I spontaneously had the idea about styling this classy, white coat as a dress. And, to make the outfit a bit more feminine and give it a little Vintage touch I added this beautiful, golden waist belt. I always feel more comfortable when I wear something that is high-waisted or a bit tight around my waist, no idea why.  I wore shorts underneath the coat, so that everything is safe. Keep in mind that this look only works for coats out of lighter materials – a winter coat will never ever gonna look like a dress 😉 So this coat here is actually more a „summer coat“ out of light cotton. You can also take a blazer that is a bit longer! If it gets colder outside you can wear you normal wool coat above.

This look is pretty chic, but you can easily dress it down combining the coat with lower heels. Of course, you can also wear tights or trousers underneath the coat, and wear the coat instead of a blouse or blazer.

So this was it, my usual philosophy about the art of dressing – nothing changed concerning that!

I am not sure how often I am gonna post in the next time, but I am willing and trying my best to get back to posting at least on a regular basis again. Because you know, this blog still owns a special part in my heart.

Talk to you soon & much love <3

Hey meine Lieben,

All pink spring outfit-The Fashion Rose

When I bought my Louis Vuitton Neverfull, this was one of the first looks I had in my mind: all pink despite the bag, loose cuts & all in all very relaxed. This is the lifestyle that the bag symbolizes for me: luxurious, but comfortable. I love the mix of the classic, girly and preppy touch of this spring outfit. The headband out of pearls just makes it even more perfect.

The classy handbag in brown shades just gives my girly outfits the necessary grown-up element 😉 So if you’d ask me for my personal ultimate spring outfit: this is it! The title could be as well „50 shades of pink“ I guess…

Well, not much left to say despite I am gonna stop wearing pink if they invent a better color. Gonna show you another version with these lovely pink trousers I found at Subdued in Florence in my next blogpost.

Happy Easter, loves!

xx Stefanie

Spring outfit in mint and blue

As much as I experimented with pastel colors I never thought of combining mint and blue. It was more kind of a spontaneous idea, but I love it, especially now for sunnier days! I have these mint jeggins from a random store in my closet for ages, and still love wearing them from time to time. In fall or winter I will pair them with brown booties and a cozy white knit, but in spring or summer I mostly wear them with cute tops. If you want your legs to appear longer choose high waisted pants, and a cute crop top or blouse in a light blue shade. Also, oversized blouses in white or blue look really lovely. And, if it’s too cold to wear sandals, then just put on some nude ballerinas or pumps.

Love, S.

Back to the basics-pink culottes-babyblue sweater-white booties-the fashion rose

I’m back at it! Back in pastels, for sure <3 To be honest, these pictures were taken on a very sunny day in January, but if you take a closer look at some pics you can even see some snow left on the stairs. It feels like in a different time now that everything starts to bloom outside!

January/February are always the months I am getting really tired of winter fashion. It’s the time I start creating spring wardrobes in my head, obsessively filling my online shopping baskets with potential spring coats etc. I always have this thing with coats before a next season starts. It’s like my inspiration is blocked until I find that perfect seasonal jacket, and when I found it the whole basic fashion journey can continue again. And ohh, guess what? I found it and will show it to you soon <3

So back then on this day in January I wanted to fight the winter cold with some springish colors. But looking back now, I think this outfit is more appropriate for spring anyways. At least, I find it wearable for both winter and already a little bit warmer days when you still don’t want to miss a sweater.

I hope you enjoy these first sunny days of the year with all your heart. Spring always feels like a fresh start in so many ways. It’s like the world awakens & people start smiling again 🙂

Much love, S.

All white winter look-The Fashion Rose

I promised you that I am going to make an all-white winter look work! So as probably my last winter outfit, here it is. I was looking for elegant, white ankle boots all winter long, and like often, found it on sale at Zara. How lovely are the golden heels? It’s all about the little details.

You rarely see me without lipstick, but that day I simply forgot it…No idea how that could happen, but I must have been very confused, haha. First I was really annoyed, but now I somehow like the combination of the nude colors of my clothes and the nude lips. What do you think?

Happy Friday <3
